• The Hilton Cancun will make rooms available as soon as possible. If your room is not available when you arrive, you may check your bags in with the concierge team or use a locker in the spa for valuables. You can take advantage of any of the amenities at the resort while you wait for your room.

• We've secured the best rates at the Hilton in Cancun, where SHRM covers a three nights stay.

• At check-in, a credit card will be required for any incidental charges. Please note that SHRM will cover the cost of the room, tax, and resort fees for three nights only; any additional expenses will be your expense.

• Currently it is not required to have travel insurance to visit Mexico. However, given that most U.S. health insurance plans may not cover you when traveling internationally, having a travel insurance plan with medical expense coverage (in addition to other helpful coverages) is always a good idea.
• The U.S. government does not provide insurance for U.S. citizens overseas. SHRM will not pay for or reimburse medical bills or unexpected costs. Consider whether you would like to purchase travel insurance before you travel to cover emergency medical care, either as part of or separate from trip cancellation insurance.

• In many areas in Mexico, tap water is not potable. Bottled water and beverages are safe, although you should be aware that many restaurants and hotels serve tap water unless bottled water is specifically requested.
