All cancellations must be submitted in writing via our Conference Transfers and Cancellation Form.
Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $250 cancellation fee for general attendees through October 20, 2025. Cancellations received from October 20, 2025 through April 4, 2026 are nonrefundable but can be transferred to another SHRM conference or seminar. Cancellations on or after April 5, 2026 are nonrefundable and transfers are not permitted.
Transfer credits are offered as a one-time courtesy and are eligible for use exclusively at another SHRM conference or seminar. If an attendee chooses to transfer their registration, they are responsible for paying any price difference (if applicable) that will be collected at the time of the transfer. The selection of a replacement conference or seminar must be made within 6 months of the date the transfer credit is issued. The selected conference or seminar must occur within 12 months of the transfer credit issuance.
If a SHRM member transfers their registration to a nonmember, the nonmember must pay the difference between the SHRM member and nonmember price at the time of the transfer.
Attendees who do not attend the event and/or do not contact SHRM via written correspondence by the dates above will be responsible for the full attendee registration fee. If the conference or seminar is cancelled, SHRM is not responsible for any penalty incurred by purchasing a nonrefundable airline ticket or related costs.

An additional cancellation fee of $75 will be charged for each conference add-on, including preconference workshops, educational programs, senior leadership programs, interpretation services, and the guest program. No refunds will be given for SHRM On Demand.
For SHRM Certification Preparation seminar cancellations, the SHRM Learning System printed materials must be returned unopened or be charged the purchase of price for the SHRM Learning System in addition to the $250 cancellation fee.
